A glowing Christmas
Part of our Christmas traditions is the use of Christmas lights. Some people even use small wax candles on their trees, the tradition dating back to the 18th century. Since the use of electrically illuminated lights have seen evolve their use. The technology behind the Christmas lights is very diverse. Interior and exterior lights have many options to choose from. These include LED power light bulbs, batteries, light bulbs, white or clear, Christmas Lights, snowflakes, icicles, nets, ropes, wreaths, flashing lights and bubble lights.
We are encouraged to use LED lights and this technology has come a long way form the beginning. At first, when used on the outside of our houses looked a little like Charlie Brown lights compared to our neighbors who were using the old lights. The new glow now.
In our homes we can create a warm glow wire wrapping lights around door frames, window frames, pictures or mirrors. Combined with Christmas greenery or fabric that can be wrapped around railings, placed in layers, or placed in window wells. Glowing lights can be strung along the kitchen cabinets and bathroom.
Just as the use of Christmas lights on the traditional tree can be placed in large plants to light an otherwise dark corner. Placing strings of lights in a large glass vase or bowl and combine with colorful Christmas bulbs and pineapples can create a focal point in a room.
Grouping strings of lights under the sofa or chair or cabinet creates a subtle quiet. Another lighting effect is to string up lights along the baseboards. This gives a warm glow to the room. For a spectacular aerial view you can use the battery to power lights his lamp on a wreath or a modern whimsical look.
Do not forget the bedroom, especially children's bedrooms. You can delight your children, giving them their own Christmas corner with some lighting in your room. Just remember to be extremely safe to add lights to the child's room.
On windows you can use net lights or interior chains hanging from the curtain rods behind a sheer curtain. Frost the glass with a light coat of metallic spray paint translucent. This will help decrease the light through the glass and will help improve the environment.
For the best effect it is best to choose a theme and carry it from room to room. A sophisticated and elegant look can be achieved by using white lights everywhere. On the other hand, if you prefer colored lights go for it. Colored lights are especially magical for children. They tend to reflect our ideas of an old fashion Christmas. If you choose to combine these looks is important to have a balance of each.
When decorating your home for Christmas it's best to take the issue from inside to outside or vice versa. This gives a warm coordinated for your home. For outdoor lighting options are incredible lights and decorations. You can line your path with lighted candy canes. You can decorate your gardens or roofs with reindeer, Santa Claus, snowmen and sleds. You can put costumes around the trunks of trees. You can put the network through the bushes. You can hang icicles, snowflakes or strings of bulbs along canals and around windows and door frames. A large lighted wreath can hang on the door or can be mounted on a window.
Safety is an important consideration when using Christmas lights. Be sure to use fresh lights with fully coated wires when inside decoration. Do not overload outlets or leave Christmas lights on the reach of small children. Dont use more than three strings of lights in succession. Check for frayed cords and discard old chains. Check the criteria of the lights to make sure they can be used with fabrics and Christmas greenery. Make sure you are using lights outside are encoded for this use and be able to withstand the elements. About Dont use extension cords.
Enjoy the warmth and brightness to create Christmas lights. How are only limited by your imagination.
